Palm Beach County Housing Market




Palm Beach County is one of the hottest real estate markets in Florida for all the right reasons. A good influx of interested buyers and eager sellers, an economy slowly but surely taking form, and favorable weather are all contributing to a 14% increase year over year in the number of homes sold. 

With the median Palm Beach County home price for a single family home averaging $244,000, this is a 15% increase year over year in comparison to 2012. 

The Florida housing market as whole excelled in 2013 with more home sales, higher pending sales, higher median prices as well as a reduction in inventory of homes for sale compared to 2012 the Florida Realtors reports. 

In Palm Beach County the number of homes sold grew by 14% from 2012 for a total of 15,600 homes sold in 2013. One particular home segment that saw the highest increase in median sales price in 2013, was the town-homes segment. A 27% increase resulted in an average town-home price of $112,000.
